A Retro Seoul Street Experience

Jongro BBQ brings the nostalgic spirit of 1970s Seoul to life in Maryland’s first retro-style Korean BBQ restaurant. Inspired by the Jongro District, the design captures the charm of Korea’s street markets and social eateries with recreated vintage storefronts, wooden stalls, aged brickwork, and bold typography. Period-accurate signage, lighting, and memorabilia—including old movie posters and phone booths—create an immersive, time-traveling atmosphere. The interior layout centers around communal seating and grill tables, celebrating Korean food culture with warmth and authenticity. Developed in collaboration with the Jongro BBQ franchise team and the Westfield Group, the project is a vivid cultural landmark that honors tradition while delivering a modern, full-sensory dining experience.
